General Custer's house. It has a BEAUTIFUL wrap-around porch. This picture doesn't capture how enormous the house really is.

Matt's Trip to Glacier

Matt, Brent, and James (left to right) camped and hiked in Glacier National Park (Montana) June 29-31. They returned tired, smelly, and unscathed from their adventure. Here are some of the sights they enjoyed.... (Be sure to click "Older Posts" at the bottom to see the rest of the Glacier pics.)
The 3 Danger-Seekers say, "Bring it on!"

Holy Hammer of Thor.
Three-man pictures made possible by Brent's tripod...which he dragged all over God's creation. Some observers mistook it as a prosthesis as he never went anywhere without it.
The 3 amigos.

Ahhhhh--majestic beauty.

We didn't see any bears (sigh), but we were excited to see this moose eating lunch. Leafy greens are very important.
We never ceased to be amazed at the magnanimous-ness of God's beautiful creation. Notice Tiny Brent on the left--although he is smaller than the average man, he gives some size perspective. ;) (I love you, Man.)
Powerful, loud, and freezing. Are you not supposed to drink directly from the falls? Hm. We did; it tasted so much better than bottled water from the store.

James, our red-skinned friend, carves his own hiking stick. (Being from California, he never learned the value of sunblock.) Despite his lack of knowledge of SPF, he is a brilliant chef--ask for his special egg sandwich recipe.

Nature called--Brent answered. This was the only Pit Toilet we found, and Brent took full advantage (best bear repellent ever).

This is Virginia Falls--the biggest of the 3 falls we hiked. We walked right up to it and got completely soaked. Brrrrrrrrr

This was at one of the three falls we hiked to. Brent climbed down for more pictures and found a cleft in the rock--he's looking back up at us from about 8 feet down.
In the very center of the picture, you can see Virginia Falls from several miles away.
On our last hike, we came around a bend; and it opened up to a huge meadow.
