A December to Remember

Ahhhh, I LOVE having my hair washed.

A Christmas outfit from Great-Aunt Cindy.

Mattaya's reaction to the tree...not exactly bowled over.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree...

Grandma LOVES this face...Mommy not so much.

Mattaya really loves when Daddy can be the one to put her to sleep.

rough nap = bad hair day

A trial run before our 3-month pictures--don't worry, Grandma Julie found us some shoes just in time. :)

Little Miss Christmas.

Face to face with Uncle Luke.

Auntie Becca took a picture for our Christmas card.

Mattaya loves playing on the floor in her room. She can now roll over onto her tummy!

Mattaya, just chillin' in her new duds.

We are enjoying our baths more and more all the time. Mattaya's going to have to graduate to the big tub soon, though, because Mommy is getting altogether too wet. (She's discovered her feet and splashing...)

Mattaya's precious toes.

We had a little birthday celebration a few days before Christmas.

Matt's excited about his super-powerful new binoculars.

A new wallet! Too bad it didn't come stocked...

Matt got the Reformation Study Bible.

Wow--can you imagine anything better than an AIR COMPRESSOR?!
(This machine has provided HOURS of entertainment already.)

Mattaya just observed the birthday festivities from her Bumbo.

Grandma Julie loved the 2008 calendar featuring Mattaya.

How cute are these booties?!

Great-Aunt Marlys bought me this cute hat. It has a snowman and says, "My First Christmas".

Sweet Baby Girl

Hey, Gramma Pam, this is the outfit you brought me.

Oof. I'm full.

Seriously, Mother. MORE pictures?

(sigh) If you must.

Sharing a smile with Grandma Julie.

This is my new favorite sleeping position. Must run in the genes.
When my bottom half isn't swaddled, boy can I hike my behind up there!

This is the outfit that Daddy got for Father's Day this year.
Mommy and Daddy are still on a mission to catch my smile on camera.
(And apparently Mommy is on a mission to stretch my waistband up to my chin.)

Thank God!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. Of course, Mattaya is right at the top of the list, but we're also thankful for the family and friends God has given us. We've been so blessed by you all this year.
We spent Thanksgiving Day at Great-Auntie Karen's house where Mattaya got to meet some family members she hadn't met before.
Great-Uncle Larry came all the way from Minnesota just to see me.
(Deer hunting MIGHT have had something to do with it, too.)
Great-Aunt Marlys spent every moment she could with me.

My great-aunt Lynette likes to sing to me.

Great-Grandma Mabel thinks I'm getting pretty heavy.
(Mattaya currently weighs 12.5 lbs.)

Great-Uncle Todd was VERY excited to hold me for the first time.

More Mattaya

Strrrrreeetch
I very much dislike my tummy time (usually), but I am managing to get my head up now.

These are my pretty little hands.

I LOVE my pacifier.

Who took my pacifier?! Put 'em up, put em' up! I'll fight you for it...

I just love to talk and move!

They've been trying for weeks to catch my smile on camera. I'm pretty tricky, but they managed to catch the tail-end of it. (Too bad it's fuzzy.)
